Neighborhood Friendships

The neighborhood we live in is swarming with children and very often you will find up to 10 kids in our front yard playing baseball, jumprope, bike-riding, having a "toy sale", and yes boys chasing girls and girls chasing boys (screaming at decibles that make me quiver)...Then there are the quiet times of Barbies in the bedroom (where the whole entire room is converted to "Barbie City" or the playroom that has been turned into a fort with all of mom's blankets so the boys can hide from the "bad guys"...In all of this "children's play" I can't help, but thank God for His precious gift of children and how much joy they bring to a life, even the ones that arn't mine. Psalm 127:3-4 "Behold Children are a heritage from the Lord, children are a reward from Him."
