December for this family has been a eventful month full of celebrations! In the beginning of the month we threw a surprise adoption celebration for our neighbor and friend JT. He and his mom have been a part of our Bible Study and have been coming to church the past several months now, and well lets just say, they are pretty much like family at this point :) !! We couldn't be more excited at what God is doing in their lives, and that we get to be a part of it, just brings my heart so much joy!!!
His story is amazing, so providentially ordained by God!...A foster child most of his life in RI...my neighbor for 11 yrs, because she was "sick", stays home from work one day three yrs ago...turns on the TV a half a world away and finds a show she's never seen before in her life called "Tuesday's Child"...A show on Foster children who want a family and this boy comes on who, in her mind, looks just like he could be related to her family...She never forgets this face and starts talking to family members...long story short, she was watching her very own blood relative expressing his desires in a family!!!!! Ahhhhhh...I get the goose bumps every time I hear this story!! Three years ago she went to RI to get him and as of this month He is no longer an orphan or "foster child" by the state, but officially her son, he is right where God has destined him and God delights in what He has done!! So beautiful is the testimony of this sweet boy...
How God brought them into our lives...Well that's just another post all together...All I can say is we can not imagine our lives without this sweet family...We praise God for bringing our families together...JT pretty much lives at our house half the time and we couldn't be more thrilled, he has a heart I can not understand could be as precious as it is with all he has endured in his short life...But oh to know the "HEALER", The "COUNSELOR", the "Savior"...
We had the most sweetest privilege to throw him an adoption celebration two days after they returned...We were able to put together a video, gifts, dessert, decor and share the Love of Jesus :)...
Next...
We had an early Christmas with my dear grandparents before they left for WA to spend Christmas with family there...So here's a few snapshots from that special day...My grandma has a special knack for the sweetest gift ideas...I opened the smallest, but most precious sentiment; a tiny glass vase that use to sit in her mother's window seal (my great grandma)...Then a baby picture of me in a frame she made over 30 years ago :)...And to top off the evening she made her mother's recipe for cashew and chicken chowmein...mmmm mmmm good :)

The recipe is missing?? And you need to buy more bins for all those toys. :) It sounds like you has a wonderful Christmas. And your neighbors story was a great reminder of how God works and how much he loves us.
Wendy Iam so happy that Jt and his mom have become a part of all our life...Iam always reminded of God greatness...only God can do a miracle and thats a miracle...The video was presious you made as well wendy:)I love you
