My mom called on Friday and said dad was out fishing and asked if myself and the kids wanted to come over and have a slumber party! (Hubby had to work) Of course this sounded like a blast! So we packed up our stuff and got into our jammies and headed over to pick up my nephew and niece to join us in the fun...Nana made rootbeer floats and then we had popcorn and a movie to top off the night...The kids love the stairs at papa and nanas and so this is what they spend most of their time doing, running up and down the stairs, and hanging from the stairs, sliding down the stairs, oh to be a child again :)...And what would a slumber party be without a game of hide and seek?! Even Nana and I hid for the kids :) Then Saturday morning we all headed down town to watch a demonstration on freshly shaven sheep's wool being spun into yarn...Boy have we much to be thankful for that we do not depend on ourselves to make our own clothing, blankets etc...So crazy the process to just get the yarn! Not to mention then you have to knit whatever you need after this!! Very tedious!
Nana, we loved coming over and making sweet memeories with you:) Thank you for building me a fire and for making us that yummy breakfast too!! What a gift from God you are to us...Can't wait to do that again soon!

How Funn That sounded!!!!
I know it must have been a blast...because hanging out with your mom is always precious!!!
You are BLESSED to have a grandma involved in your children's lives. Our kids don't even know 3 of their 4 grandparents. (The grandparents aren't interested in having relationships.)
That is just the kind of grandma that I want to be. With 6 young adult children already, hopefully we'll be having some weddings and grand-babies sometime in the next few years.
